I was recently commissioned by model Ugo to create a subtle Halloween-inspired edit for one of his portraits — a transformation that enhances atmosphere without overwhelming the original image.
Collaborating with Ugo was a pleasure, as he had a clear artistic vision in mind. Using my manual photo editing techniques, I was able to follow his brief precisely, maintaining the natural details and textures of the image while introducing a cinematic, vampiric touch.
While AI tools can sometimes produce similar effects, they often come with compromises — such as altered facial features, inconsistent results, or a significant drop in image resolution. My manual approach ensures creative precision, full control, and preservation of high-resolution quality, making the final image suitable for professional use or large-format prints.
